2021 Skoda Octavia launched in India at Rs 25.99 lakh

The fourth-gen Skoda Octavia is now available in India with prices ranging from Rs 25.99 lakh to Rs 28.99 lakh. This new Skoda Octavia is available in just two variants: Style, and Laurin & Klement. Both are available with the 190PS/320Nm 2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired to a 7-speed DSG (dual clutch automatic) transmission.

Skoda’s new infotainment system also integrates a touchbar below the display that can be used two ways: slide with one finger to control the volume, and use two to cycle through the display. Climate controls are now operated via the central display instead of getting their own panel in the central console. This also allows for a cleaner design for the central console and tunnel.

Octavia will be available in 5 colours: white, black and blue, brown and silver.

Jaguar has launched the facelifted F-Pace in India and started customer deliveries as well. The SUV is available in one fully loaded trim, the R Dynamic S, which replaces the Prestige. Both petrol and diesel (new) variants are priced at Rs 69.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). The facelifted model is Rs 3.92 lakh more expensive than the pre-facelift version.

Both petrol and diesel variants are priced equally at Rs 69.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is now available in a single, fully loaded R Dynamic S trim. This new car has an updated headlamps, alloy wheels, and taillamps. The cabin has now a larger 11.4-inch touchscreen unit and two new colour schemes has been added.The facelifted SUV is provided with 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel engines mated to an 8-speed automatic.

Tata Nexon new base variant XM starts at Rs 9.48 lakh

Now, Tata Nexon Diesel entry level variant is XM which starts at Rs 9.48 lakh. The carmaker has discontinued the previously offered base-spec XE. Along with the XE, Tata has also axed the mid-spec XMA, second-to-top XZ, and higher-specced XZA+ (S) variants. The XMA (S) is the new entry-level automatic variant, demanding a premium of Rs 52,000 over the former XMA. The XZA+ (O) is now the only higher-spec variant to get a sunroof in the Nexon diesel-AMT’s lineup.

Tata has discontinued select variants of the diesel-powered Nexon. It says the revision is due to market feedback.

The following variants have been dropped: base-spec XE, mid-spec XMA, second-to-top XZ, and top-spec XZA+ (S). It means the most affordable diesel variant is now priced at Rs 9.48 lakh, almost a lakh more than the now-discontinued XE. 

Prices of Hyundai Alcazar will be revealed during its launch

Hyundai has said it will launch and reveal the prices of the Alcazar on June 18. The Alcazar will be available in 6 and 7-seater configurations, depending on the variant chosen. It will be available in six trims, with two extra dual-tone options for the top-spec Signature and Signature (O) trims. It will house a big 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and wireless charging. Alcazar will be powered by 159PS 2.0-litre petrol and 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, both paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
